Enid Public Schools is thrilled to name Dr. Shannon Crowley as the next Eisenhower Elementary principal.

Crowley is currently the Secondary Curriculum Director for the district. Her duties for the new position will begin on July 1.

Crowley’s responsibilities will include the oversight of keeping the school’s currently status as an A+ Art School in addition to working with Vance Air Force Base and district officials on the planning of the new Eisenhower Elementary school building, an initiative EPS has been working on with the U.S. Department of Defense.

“We are extremely excited to have Dr. Crowley as the next principal at Eisenhower Elementary,” said Dr. Dudley Darrow, superintendent. “Dr. Crowley has been an excellent employee at EPS for many years now, and is has the perfect skill set to lead Eisenhower Elementary moving forward. Furthermore, being a military spouse and mother for many years, Dr. Crowley can instantly relate to many of our Eisenhower parents, students and families. This is a perfect fit for everyone.”

Crowley has also been an assistant principal at Enid High School before accepting the curriculum position in 2023. She began her career in education in 2002 as a reading teacher in Tennessee. She then held various educational position while traveling with her career military husband, including substitute teaching. She accepted her first assistant principal job in El Paso, Texas in 2016. She moved to Enid in 2021 to accept the assistant principal job.

Crowley received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education Leadership from Austin Peay State University. She received her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.

She holds a standard Oklahoma teaching certification in elementary education and a standard administration certification for elementary, middle level, and secondary principal.

"I am excited to work with the teachers, students, and parents/guardians of the Eisenhower community to create a positive and engaging environment where our students are encouraged to achieve success."

Crowley is married to Jayson, a former Command Sergeant Major in the Army who now teaches Aviation at Enid High and hails from Pond Creek. Together, they have three daughters: Kayla, a cosmetologist based in Chicago, IL; Brooklyn, a triage nurse in Milwaukee, WI; and Lillian, who is currently a 7th grader at Waller Middle School.
