
Enid Public Schools is thrilled to name Dr. Shannon Crowley as the next Eisenhower Elementary principal.
Crowley is currently the Secondary Curriculum Director for the district. Her duties for the new position will begin on July 1.
Crowley’s responsibilities will include the oversight of keeping the school’s currently status as an A+ Art School in addition to working with Vance Air Force Base and district officials on the planning of the new Eisenhower Elementary school building, an initiative EPS has been working on with the U.S. Department of Defense.
“We are extremely excited to have Dr. Crowley as the next principal at Eisenhower Elementary,” said Dr. Dudley Darrow, superintendent. “Dr. Crowley has been an excellent employee at EPS for many years now, and is has the perfect skill set to lead Eisenhower Elementary moving forward. Furthermore, being a military spouse and mother for many years, Dr. Crowley can instantly relate to many of our Eisenhower parents, students and families. This is a perfect fit for everyone.”
Crowley has also been an assistant principal at Enid High School before accepting the curriculum position in 2023. She began her career in education in 2002 as a reading teacher in Tennessee. She then held various educational position while traveling with her career military husband, including substitute teaching. She accepted her first assistant principal job in El Paso, Texas in 2016. She moved to Enid in 2021 to accept the assistant principal job.
Crowley received her Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies/Elementary Education and a Master’s in Education Leadership from Austin Peay State University. She received her Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction and her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Liberty University.
She holds a standard Oklahoma teaching certification in elementary education and a standard administration certification for elementary, middle level, and secondary principal.
“I am truly honored to have the opportunity to serve as the principal of Eisenhower Elementary School,” said Crowley. “I am excited to work with the teachers, students, and parents/guardians of the Eisenhower community to create a positive and engaging environment where our students are encouraged to achieve success.”
Crowley is married to Jayson, a former Command Sergeant Major in the Army who now teaches Aviation at Enid High and hails from Pond Creek. Together, they have three daughters: Kayla, a cosmetologist based in Chicago, IL; Brooklyn, a triage nurse in Milwaukee, WI; and Lillian, who is currently a 7th grader at Waller Middle School.


Emerson Middle School earned Oklahoma State Champions Banner Program for the second year in a row through Oklahoma Special Olympics and the Unified Champion School Program.


Lyric Hill is the OESL (Oklahoma eSports League) State Championship for Super Smash Bro's Ultimate. EPS' first Esports state champ.


Speech & Debate State Qualifiers were recognized for their accomplishments. They are:
Brooklyn Buckles, Delaney Caruthers, Melia Crouch, Raylee Garnand, Krysta Martinez, Cooper McKee, Anie Ortiz, Danny Pembrook, and Avrey Ransom


Allen Family Scholarship Recipients were recognized at the board meeting. Recipients are:
Cooper McKee, Jamilson Milne, Giovanny Ortiz Mendoza, Jobany Pacheco Villa, and Esperanza Maria Tobias. These students will receive scholarships for the college of their choice.


Emerson Middle School eighth-grade student, Paulton Melong, represented the secondary student body as the spotlight student.


Hoover Elementary spotlight student Faith Carrillo led the Pledge of Allegiance at the April school board meeting.


Kadee Fuksa was recognized for qualifying for the Class 6A State Girls Wrestling Tournament.


The following schools were named Certified Healthy Oklahoma Schools and recognized: Garfield Elementary, Hayes Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Monroe Elementary, Prairie View Elementary, Emerson Middle School and Longfellow Middle School.


Kinzley Lebeda, EHS senior was recognized as the secondary spotlight student. She was also recognized for being named Academic All-State Class of 2025. She was one of the top 100 seniors in the state and will be recognized in May at the state ceremony. We are very proud of her!


Beth Turnbow led the Pledge of Allegiance at the board meeting. She is a fifth grader at Hayes Elementary. She shared about her school and did an excellent job.

EPS will have school tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 20. Admin & maintenance have been working to ensure buildings and parking lots are ready for students & staff. All schools open by 7:30 a.m., dress warm. We look forward to seeing students again tomorrow.

Mr. George Pankonin was recognized by the district for his efforts with the Oklahoma Strategic Military Planning Commission and all he has done in raising funds for the Eisenhower Project.


Mr. Justin DeClerck was recognized for being named an Outstanding Energy Champion by CLEAResults for his energy saving efforts for the district.


EHS Swim Team members that qualified for the 6-A State Swim Meet. Students are Zane Briix, Lyla Brown, Eben Cho, Jack Denney, Taylor Higbee, Kal-El Hooper, Cassidy Lebeda, Carson Nault, Laylah Nguyen, Hudson Plummer, Britzy Salcedo De La Torre, and Colton Throckmorton.


James Harvey did an excellent job representing Waller Middle School as the secondary spotlight student.


The elementary spotlight student from Garfield Elementary, Jacionana Lemus Haley, led the pledge at the board meeting.
